This was a very lonely evening after work. Bleh. :( Not a single soul I know is online, or has been online for hours. Ah well... Maybe it's a sign that I know too few people?
I got a text message from my sister today. Well, she's my father's daughter in his second marriage, so just my half-sister. As of today, I'm apparently an aunt. O.o I didn't even know she was pregnant! Not so strange perhaps since I haven't seen her or talked to her for a year and a half. And before that one time, it was 16 years since I saw her, on our father's funeral. No, we don't keep in touch. ;)
I think we realised both that we have absolutely nothing in common when we met last summer. She and her husband did send me a few copies of old photos of our father last xmas, but that's the only contact we've had after that meeting. How weird is it to be a complete stranger to your own sister and brother? (Yes, my father also got a son before he died. Haven't had any contact with him after that one meeting last August.) We all have our different lives and never connected.
Other than that, not much news. It sucks to have another course this close to Christmas, because we're all so tired, and with the iron deficit I have, it's real torture to try to work. I have increased the dosage now to six iron supplement pills per day. It feels a little better today. But there's absolutely no chance in hell that I can get everything done before Christmas now. That is disappointing.
This also means that things I intended to write and have done for Christmas won't be done. :( That's even more disappointing. |

Have done some Christmas shopping, Saturday and yesterday. I have most of the presents fixed now... apart from having to sew my 2m tall brother a pair of nice pyjamas pants to lounge around in. Because he wants them, and no shops make them long enough to cover all of his legs. In this country! Poor guy. Ah well... I do feel a little stressed over that, but my mum told me to take it easy, make a card for him where I write what he'll get and then make them at my own leisure. I'll do that, because otherwise I'll just get the stress from hell.
Being anaemic sucks, btw!!! After doing some shopping yesterday, I've had to rest and rest all day today. And that means, literally, lying in bed and not doing anything! Not reading, not writing, not even thinking much! :( Blah! I really hope this gets better soon. *grumbles*
But on to the WHEEEE! :) Thank you, ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) cmc42 for the Christmas card with Byakuya! :) It made me smile!
And thank you so much to dancing_serpent for a whole year of paid time for my account on Dreamwidth!!! :) I do use it, for sometimes different things from here (and I have entirely stopped crossposting to IJ), and I shall use it more and more as I start writing more.

Thank you all you lovely people and anonymice for the snowflake cookies that are now adorning my profile page! It looks so festive and awesome, and it makes me smile a lot. :) *hugs you all*

And to continue in the spirit of Christmas... OMG! How can it just be 2 1/2 weeks to Christmas???? Guys!!! I'm not ready! :(
